Tammy Kent
Executive Manager
Tammy has extensive experience in the Vocational Education and Training sector with a proven ability to support high quality outcomes for students and staff while navigating complex compliance environments.
She is most passionate about building learning environments that empower individuals and organisations to grow with confidence. Tammy believes that strong compliance paired with supportive practice can create real opportunity for learners and teams alike: when quality come first, people benefit.
Her track record in leadership of Registered Training Organisations, quality assurance and stakeholder engagement is a great asset to those learning at Meerilinga Training College.
Marilene Hummel
Administrator Officer
Marilene holds a Certificate IV in Training Assessment, a Bachelor of Arts and a Certificate IV in Frontline Management. She has worked with Meerilinga Training College for over 9 years and oversees each student’s learning journey from enrolment to completion.
As part of a boutique Registered Training Organisation, Marilene loves seeing learners achieve their goals and complete their qualification. She excels in supporting learners through their qualification and will always go the extra mile to help them achieve the best outcome.

Mary Gee
Administration Assistant
Mary has extensive experience working in administration for the not-for-profit sector, including in aged care and education. She brings her passion for supporting people and helping organisations run smoothly from behind the scenes to her role at the Training College, where she is positioned to help guide you through the process of applying and studying with Meerilinga.

Asiya Dahir
Trainer and Assessor
Asiya has over nine years of experience in the Early Childhood Education and Care industry and holds both a Certificate III and Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. She is currently completing a Bachelor’s Degree in the same field.
Throughout her career, Asiya has had the privilege of supporting children from diverse backgrounds, fostering their development during the most critical years of their lives. This journey in education led her to become a trainer and assessor.
Asiya’s vision is to inspire and mentor the next generation of educators by helping them recognise the importance and lasting impact of their role in a child’s life. She believes educators are powerful change-makers, playing a vital role in each child’s journey and overall success.
Briana Goddard
Trainer and Assessor
Briana has over 13 years of experience in the Early Years industry and has been in the Training and Assessing role for more than 3 years. As well as holding a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, she is currently studying her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and Primary School Teaching, with passions in the Sustainability and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) fields.
She believes working in partnership with those within the early years community allows for continuous growth and learning, which is a vital key to establishing and training industry ready Early Childhood Educators.
In her role within Meerilinga Training College, she works closely with the traineeship educators and services to create strong and quality relationships that lead to better learning experiences.
Celia Riordan
Trainer and Assessor
Celia began her journey with Meerilinga as a lead educator at Meerilinga High Wycombe, where she fostered a nurturing learning environment for the children there. Driven by a passion and years of experience in the field, she decided to channel her enthusiasm into training others. After obtaining a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Celia transitioned to Meerilinga Training College, where she continues to dedicate herself to excellence in training and assessment practices.
After years of practice, she still finds immense joy in guiding and mentoring new individuals, helping them to discover an appreciation for the significance of providing children with the best possible outcomes during their formative years.
Homaira Naim
Trainer and Assessor
Homaira holds a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, a Diploma of School Age Education and Care and a Diploma of Training Design and Development. She have over 22 years of experience working as a qualified educator, Early Childhood Centre coordinator and educational leader. She now has over 8 years experience working as a Trainer and Assessor at Meerilinga Training College.
While she enjoyed caring and educating children, being a trainer has given her opportunity to apply her skills and knowledge in a training environment and share her experience with the educators who want to pursue a career in Early Childhood Education and Care sector. She believes in facilitating a learning environment that is learner focused, hands on and fun.
Homaira speaks two other languages other than English, which shows the College’s dedication to helping all students learn, whatever their background.
Maria Legaspi
Trainer and Assessor
Maria has over 12 years experience as an Early Childhood Educator and is a proud mother of two beautiful daughters. As a trainer, she strives to embody the key qualities that are crucial for supporting the growth and development of each child, understanding that each child is unique and develops at their own pace. She believes children have the right to create, explore, discover and learn through hands-on activities, and should be engaged with patience, empathy and a genuine desire to understand their needs. She is deeply passionate and committed to providing the best possible learning experiences for young children.
Now as a Trainer and Assessor, Maria continues to show all students their strengths by valuing them, their culture and backgrounds and by building positive relationships with both learners and colleagues. In class, she aims to create a nurturing and stimulating environment where learners can thrive emotionally, socially, intellectually and physically.
Her goal is to inspire a love of learning in each student and lay a strong foundation for their success as a future Early Childhood Educator.
